Irish Pride BBQ Competition with Calor 2018 Week 6 Winning Burger Recipe

Irish Pride Black Pudding Burgers

Ingredients:

Irish Pride Burger Buns 6 ozs Blackpudding broken up (I like to use Clonakility or Rosscarbery Pudding)
1lb Good quality steak minced beef
1 Egg yolk
1 Small onion finely chopped
2 ozs Breadcrumbs
Thinly sliced red onion Sliced tomato
Salt and pepper
Avocado Relish
Fresh crisp lettuce
Parsley

To Prepare:

Sauté the finely chopped onion. Mix the mince meat, blackpudding, breadcrumbs, sauté onions & the egg together thoroughly.Add seasoning. Divide into approx 5 portions. Shape firmly into a burger shape. Place in the fridge and allow to chill for 30 mins. Light the BBQ for 5 mins before cooking. Cook the burgers evenly each side until fully cooked. Sauté the sliced red onion rings on the bbq. Toast the Burger buns lightly. Place some relish on the bottom bun, then add the burger,some more relish, crisp lettuce and sautéed onions and finally add the sliced avocado
