Banana and Walnut Cake
Ingredients:
4oz of castor sugar
2oz of butter or margarine
2 eggs
8oz of cream flower
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 ripened bananas
Half cup of walnut pieces (More if you like a bit more crunch)
Honey
Method:
Heat your oven to gas mark 7
Mix castor and butter/margarine in to a paste
Stir in the eggs one at a time and mix
Sieve the cream flour in to the mixture and mix
Add the baking powder and salt and mix
Mash the bananas and add a tablespoon of honey (Depends on how sweet you like your bread)
Add the walnuts (Crushed)
Mix altogether
Prepare a 9inch baking cake tin lined with grease proof paper
Empty the mixture in to the tin
Turn down your oven to gas mark 3 and cook for 40-45 mins
Remove the banana bread on to a wire tray and leave to cool
Serve when cool
