Beat the afternoon slump with these delicious recipes from Irish Pride 

So, it is true what they say about everything in moderation and with all bread lovers out there pondering on the fact that a carb free diet is essential, you can rest assure that you can still enjoy wonderful bread-based recipes by dressing them up with delicious healthy toppings.Bread is known essentially as being part of a staple diet and a real filler when you want to avoid snacking unnecessarily throughout the day. So, now you can create delicious sandwiches and wrap recipes from ingredients from across the world and we have created two beautiful mouth-watering recipes for you to try at home. You can use Irish Pride white or brown bread and wraps, or even go slimster style if you’re looking to reduce your calorie intake.  These recipes are packed with all the essentials you need in your diet.

Irish Pride-Smashed Avocado with Paprika Chickpeas and Cauliflower on a Toasted Slimster BunI

Ingredients: Serves 4

12 oz. small cauliflower florets

1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

Paprika Chickpea "Nuts"

2 ripe avocados

2 tbsp. lemon juice

4 Irish Pride Slimster Buns 

2 tbsp. roasted salted pepitas

Serve with a sauce of choice, maybe barbecue 

How to make:

Pour a little oil in to a mixing bowl and toss the cauliflower and chickpeas in to it with the Paprika.

Place the ingredients in a roast dish and roast the mixture in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the cauliflower is cooked

Meanwhile, smash the avocados and mix them with the lemon juice and set aside

When the ingredients are ready, light toast the slimster bun under a grill for about a minute or until it starts to crisp on top.

When the buns are toasted, spread the avocado on and then top off with the roasted cauliflower and chickpeas.

Sprinkle a little olive in top and enjoy.

Irish Pride Goats Cheese with Mediterranean Vegetable Wraps

 Ingredients:Serves 4:

1 Pack of Irish Pride White or Brown Wraps

Portobello mushroom caps, sliced

1 large red or yellow pepper, sliced

8 oz. green beans

2 tbsp. olive oil

15 oz. cans chickpeas, drained

tbsp. lemon juice

A little seasoning of salt and pepper if you wish

1 oz. fresh goat cheese, crumbled

Sliced Lemon wedges to serve

How to Make:

Toss the Vegetables on to some parchment paper and place them on to a roasting dish along with the olive oil and a little seasoning.

Roast the veggies for about a half hour

Mash chickpeas with lemon juice and pepper; spread on whole-grain wraps. Top with veggies and goat cheese. Fold to wrap.

Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy
